Roma’s move for Lucas Digne appears to have collapsed after Monaco rejected a PSG offer for Layvin Kurzawa.

The transfer domino effect has left the Giallorossi in the lurch, as Paris Saint-Germain said they would only release Digne after securing a replacement.

That was meant to be Kurzawa, but today Monaco President Vasilyev announced that deal was dead in the water.

“There are many teams interested in Kurzawa. So far we have rejected an offer from Paris Saint-Germain, though it’s also true that we are still in contact.

“I don’t know whether he will leave, as we have time until August 31, but I will say we have no necessity to sell.”

The fact this matter is dragging on means Roma will likely forget about Digne and go elsewhere for their left-back.

The most likely candidate is Schalke’s Bosnia international Sead Kolasinac.
