PSG on the verge of closing deal for Scamacca – report

Le Parisien report that Paris Saint-Germain will finalise a deal for Sassuolo star Gianluca Scamacca next week.

The 23-year-old Italian forward is seemingly ready for the jump to a top team following an impressive season under Alessio Dionisi, where he netted 16 goals in 36 appearances. He was linked with a move to Inter and Milan, but in the end a move never materialised, allowing PSG to come forward.

As detailed by Le Parisien, PSG are now set to complete a deal for Scamacca, paying Sassuolo around €50m total. Things are expected to be fully finalised next week, allowing him to join the pre-season preparations with new coach Christophe Galtier.

The 23-year-old Scamacca joined Sassuolo in January 2017 from PSV’s youth system in a deal worth around €500,000 total. Since arriving, he’s made 41 appearances for the Neroverdi, for a total of 2329 minutes, scoring 16 goals total. He’ll be hoping for a chance to show his best as he joins a star-studded attack.
