Sergio Ramos insists he has no problems with his former teammate Leandro Paredes but claims ‘one would kill for his teammates’ on the pitch.

The Spaniard clashed with the Juventus midfielder at the Parc des Princes last night in the first half of the Old Lady’s 2-1 loss against PSG.

Paredes and Ramos were teammates until last week when the Argentinean joined the Bianconeri on loan with an obligation to buy.

“These things remain on the pitch, at the end of the day, everyone defends his own interest,” Ramos told TNT Sports after the final whistle.

“When it ends, you shake hands, end everything is over. During the game, one would kill for his teammates, but there is nothing personal with anyone.”

Italy international Marco Verratti joked about the incident after the final whistle, saying that he would bet his house on a row between Ramos and Paredes.

Verratti claimed that the pair used to argue during training sessions at PSG, so he was sure they would have had a confrontation on the pitch last night.

Pardes made his Serie A debut with Juventus on Saturday in a 1-1 draw against Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, causing a penalty kick missed by Luka Jovic.
