According to TuttoMercatoWeb.com, the Nerazzurri have reignited the bidding war for the 22-year-old, despite it looking as if the Giallorossi had won the race to his signature by having a €35m plus Gregoire Defrel offer accepted.
The Parisian club’s sporting director Leonardo has been searching for reinforcements for the midfield department since his return from Milan and Barella would fit the mould perfectly.
He already works well with Marco Verratti for the Italy side, and while Inter and Cagliari refuse to meet the €50m asking price without a player exchange included, it would be no problem for PSG.
Meanwhile, La Nuova Sardegna reports that the Milanese side have reportedly increased their bid to battle Roma, proposing €36m plus either Eder or Alessandro Bastoni and the loan of left-back Federico Dimarco.
Ex-Italy international striker Eder spent the past season in China with Jiangsu Suning and has scored seven times in 14 matches in the Chinese Super League this year.
Italy U21 centre-back Bastoni was on loan at Parma this term, making 24 Serie A appearances, and new Coach Antonio Conte has reportedly given the green light for the youngster to leave San Siro, as there are already several established defenders ahead of him.
