With reports circulating that Roberto Mancini will leave the Italy job, reports are linking him with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

The CT has not yet decided what to do next after the failure to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

He has one more game to be played, a friendly against fellow play-off losers Turkey on Tuesday evening, but is widely expected to step down after that.

A return to club football is likely and the biggest sides are lining up for the man who also took the Azzurri to EURO 2020 triumph under a year ago.

The Daily Mirror and Talksport point to Manchester United interest, as they are still under interim manager Ralf Rangnick after parting company with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Their first choice would seem to be Erik ten Hag, but he is under contract with Ajax.

There is also some tension due to Mancini’s Premier League title-winning exploits at United’s bitter rivals Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Sportitalia transfer expert Gianluigi Longari maintains PSG have made an approach to ask about Mancini’s availability.

He’d get to reunite with Italy internationals Marco Verratti and Gianluigi Donnarumma at the club, following in the footsteps of Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Mauricio Pochettino’s time seems to be over following the Champions League exit to Real Madrid.

  1. This is really sad . Instead of prepping for Qatar he is about to prep a meaningless game and call it it quits right after .
