According to reports in Italy, Roberto Mancini is being monitored by PSG and Manchester United but the FIGC wants to extend the contract of the CT.
Mancini’s current agreement with Italy ends after the 2022 World Cup but the FIGC President Gabriele Gravina has recently revealed that he wants to sit down and discuss a new contract with the former Manchester City boss.
According to reports in Italy, Roberto Mancini is being monitored by PSG and Manchester United but the FIGC wants to extend the contract of the CT.
Mancini’s current agreement with Italy ends after the 2022 World Cup but the FIGC President Gabriele Gravina has recently revealed that he wants to sit down and discuss a new contract with the former Manchester City boss.
“We have two years left on the contract, which is a long time, but the project we are working on is a long-term issue,” he said ahead of the Azzurri’s Nations League clash against Poland last week.
“So we will sit down at the right time with Roberto and discuss the situation.”
According to Tuttosport, Mancini is monitored by several top clubs in Europe.
He had been linked with a move to Juventus last summer and now both PSG and Manchester United are reportedly interested in welcoming his services.
Mancini, a former Sampdoria striker, has tested positive for Covid and did not oversee Italy’s last two games against Estonia and Poland.
The same will happen this evening as the Azzurri take on Bosnia with Mancini's assistant Alberico Evani who sill sit on the Azzurri's bench.
