Paul Pogba could leave Manchester United as a free agent next summer, but it’s reported PSG are the favourites rather than Juventus or Real Madrid.

The France international has often been linked with a return to Juve, where he played from 2012 to 2016, or a big transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

That was meant to be for this season, but the arrival of Lionel Messi from Barcelona put paid to that plan.

Instead, The Independent newspaper claims PSG are preparing a salary package worth €600,000 a week if he refuses to sign a new contract with Manchester United and waits to become a free agent in June 2022.

That would be the second time Pogba has left Manchester United for free, as he was picked up by Juventus on a Bosman in 2012 and sold back to the Old Trafford club four years later for a massive €105m fee.

The possibility of a return to Juve has also been on the cards, but not at the salary that PSG can propose.

The same goes for Real Madrid and especially Barcelona.

  1. Uefa has it little favourites. Football is destroyed now will people see why a super league was needed? While they voted themselves pay rises in a pandemic with clubs as massive as Barcelona and Real in financial trouble with 0 help, now Football is Oil-owned. Congratulations ceferin

  2. @Martinn surely Barca or any clubs with unsustainable wages should get more blame rather than whatever you think. Innit?
