The Elefanti are facing sporting punishment for the ‘Goal Trains’ scandal, in which President Antonino Pulvirenti admitted to attempting to fix five matches.

The patron has already been provisionally banned from stadia and football events, but Palazzi is recommending that he be given a five-year ban from involvement in the sport.

For the club, Palazzi is asking that they be demoted to the Lega Pro, and handed a deduction of five points for the forthcoming season.

The FIGC will now decide whether or not impose Palazzi’s recommendations in full, or hand down a different punishment.
