The new four-team Supercoppa Italiana is likely to be played in Saudi Arabia from January 21 to 25, although the dates are still not official yet, involving Napoli, Inter, Fiorentina and Lazio.

The competition had until now been purely between the winners of the Serie A title and the holders of the Coppa Italia, usually in a one-off match on neutral turf in Rome.

However, the Lega Serie A signed a contract worth €23m per season to have the tournament expanded to four teams and played in Saudi Arabia, following in the footsteps of LaLiga.

It will see semi-finals between the Scudetto winners Napoli and Coppa runners-up Fiorentina, then Coppa holders Inter and Serie A second-placed Lazio, followed by a Final.

These were originally supposed to be played at the start of January, but seeing as it would be head-to-head with the Spanish Supercup, this is now being shifted.

The location is also moving, from Riyadh to Jeddah, but there is still nothing official.

According to the Corriere della Sera newspaper, we are likely to see the semi-finals played on January 21 and 22, then the Final on January 25.

The dates could be made official during the next Serie A meeting on December 18, barely a month before the competition is due to take place.
