Napoli will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing loss to Inter in this evening’s away trip to Sampdoria.

The match between the Blucerchiati and the Partenopei kicks off at 17.00 UK time at the Stadio comunale Luigi Ferraris.

It’s not been an easy season for Sampdoria and they’re currently swirling around the relegation vortex, sitting five points behind 17th place Spezia. The Ligurian outfit know that they need to start getting points on the board in the coming weeks if they want to avoid suffering the same fate as their inter-city rivals Genoa last season.

Sampdoria cannot count on Omar Colley and Fabio Quagliarella, both of whom are out injured. Bruno Amione is unavailable due to suspension.

Napoli started the season in electric fashion and looked to be the team to beat heading into the World Cup break, but their recent defeat to Inter threatens to throw the ship off course. Juventus only sit four points behind and Milan five, so they cannot afford another slip up as they fight to win their first Scudetto in over three decades.

Luciano Spalletti has a fully fit Napoli squad available to him, giving him some flexibility for the away trip to Liguria.

Probable line-ups for Sampdoria vs Napoli:

Sampdoria (4-3-1-2): Audero; Murru, Murillo, Nuytinck, Augello; Leris, Vieira, Rincon; Djuricic; Lammers, Gabbiadini.

Napoli (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Kim, Juan Jesus, Mario Rui; Zambo Anguissa, Lobotka, Zielinski; Lozano, Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia.
