Defending champions Milan are looking to keep up the pressure on league leaders Napoli with a win over Monza this evening.

The match between the Rossoneri and the Biancorossi kicks off at 17.00 UK time at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Stefano Pioli’s side edged out a tough 2-1 win away to Hellas Verona last weekend and they’ll be hoping for a slightly more relaxed affair against the newly promoted side today. Milan are gearing up for a key Champions League clash against Dinamo Zagreb, so they’ll be looking to avoid a draining clash.

Monza have won three of their last four outings thanks to new coach Raffaele Palladino and they’ll be dreaming of an upset in San Siro today as they look to further distance themselves from a possible relegation battle. It’ll be an emotional match for owner Silvio Berlusconi, who spent two decades at the head of the Rossoneri world.

Milan still have a number of absences heading into today’s game, with Mike Maignan, Davide Calabria, Alessandro Florenzi, Alexis Saelemaekers and Zlatan Ibrahimovic all out. Ismael Bennacer is also in doubt due to a slight illness.

The only players unavailable for Monza are the suspended Nicolo Rovella and the injured Armando Izzo.

Probable Serie A line-ups for Milan vs Monza

Monza (3-5-2): Di Gregorio; Marlon, Mari, Caldirola; Ciurria, Pessina, Barberis, Sensi, Carlos Augusto; Caprari, Gytkjaer.
