Jose Mourinho returns to San Siro with Roma to try and further add pressure on Simone Inzaghi after Inter’s rough start to the season.
The match between the Nerazzurri and the Giallorossi kicks off at 17.00 UK time at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan.
Marcelo Brozovic has been ruled out of this match through suspension, although he suffered an injury whilst on international duty with Croatia anyway, and Romelu Lukaku is still absent with muscle issues. Roberto Gagliardini is also in doubt but may appear off the bench for Inter.
Roma cannot count on Rick Karsdorp, Ebrima Darboe or Georginio Wijnaldum, all of whom are sidelined with physical issues. Paulo Dybala’s condition is also a little shaky due to a muscle issue.
Inter won both meetings against Roma last season, picking up a 3-0 victory in the capital and a 3-1 win at home. They also beat the Giallorossi 2-0 in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
Probable line-ups for Inter vs Roma:
Inter (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Asllani, Calhanoglu, Dimarco; Dzeko, Lautaro.
Roma (3-4-2-1): Rui Patricio; Mancini, Smalling, Ibanez; Zalewski, Cristante, Pellegrini, Spinazzola; Dybala, Zaniolo; Abraham.
