Inter are hoping to take out their Derby d’Italia frustrations in a confident display against Bologna tonight.

The match between the Nerazzurri and the Rossoblu kicks off at 19.45 UK time at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan.

Matteo Darmian and Romelu Lukaku are still out injured for Inter, limiting Simone Inzaghi’s options up front a little. Inter fell to rivals Juventus in a tough 2-0 loss to the weekend, raising doubts about the coach and squad again following their brief but important response in the Champions League against Barcelona.

Thiago Motta won’t be able to rely on the injured Kevin Bonifazi for tonight’s game. Bologna are in a run of good form and have won their last three consecutive matches, beating Lecce, Monza and Torino. They are starting to develop something under Motta and seem to be one of the more interesting teams to keep an eye on as the season progresses.

Last season, Inter flew to a 6-1 win at home but suffered a disastrous 2-1 loss away, a result that condemned them in the title race against rivals Milan.

Probable starting line-ups for Inter vs Bologna

Inter (3-5-2): Onana; Skriniar, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Dzeko, Lautaro.

Bologna (4-3-3): Skorupski; Posch, Soumaoro, Lucumì, Lykogiannis; Schouten, Medel, Ferguson; Orsolini, Arnautovic, Vignato.
