Dusan Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa are expected to start for Juventus in an away game against Genoa, who must cope without Italy international Mateo Retegui.

It kicks off at 19:45 CMT at the Stadio Marassi in Genoa.

Kevin Strootman and Retegui are not available for the hosts who will rely on Junior Messias and Albert Gudmundsson up front.

Ridgeciano Haps is favourite over former Juventus Primavera defender Alessandro Vogliacco, but if the latter starts, Johan Vásquez will be deployed as a left wing-back, giving Genoa a slightly more defensive approach.

Juventus see Timothy Weah return to the squad after over a month on the treatment table, but the Bianconeri have lost Moise Kean to a tibia injury. The Italian striker won’t be back before 2024.

Allegri is expected to confirm the squad that secured a home 1-0 victory against Napoli last week, with Federico Gatti, Danilo and Gleison Bremer in a three-man defence and Vlahovic and Chiesa in attack.

Genoa-Juventus, probable line-ups

Genoa (3-5-2): Martinez; Dragusin, Bani, Vasquez; Sabelli, Malinovskyi, Badelj, Frendrup, Haps; Gudmundsson, Messias.

Juventus (3-5-2): Szczesny; Gatti, Bremer, Danilo; Cambiaso, McKennie, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic; Chiesa, Vlahovic.
