Inter have started to right the ship following their poor start to the season and they’ll be hoping to maintain this upward swing in tonight’s match against a struggling Fiorentina.

The match between the Viola and the Nerazzurri kicks off at 19.45 UK time at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Fiorentina have only won one of their last five league outings, looking wasteful and tired as they struggle to show their best under Vincenzo Italiano. Things have been a little more positive in Europe, where they demolished Scottish outfit Hearts 3-0 away and 5-1 at home, performances they’ll be hoping to repeat against Simone Inzaghi’s side.

Inter had a slow start to the campaign, losing four of their first eight Serie A matches, but the recent double header against Barcelona has fired the team up and helped them shake off their malaise. A win against the Viola today is key as the team look to climb into the European spots.

Fiorentina will have to do without injured duo Gaetano Castrovilli and Riccardo Sottil, and Luka Jovic is also in doubt due to a hip issue.

Inter cannot count on Samir Handanovic, Marcelo Brozovic or Romelu Lukaku, restricting Inzaghi’s options a little.

Probable Serie A line-ups for Fiorentina vs Inter

Inter (3-5-2): Onana; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Dzeko, Lautaro.
