Check out the probable line-ups for today’s big game in Serie A between Fiorentina and Napoli at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

It kicks off at 19.45 UK time.

Fiorentina played on Thursday against Twente, qualifying for the group stage of a European competition for the first time in five years.

Alfred Duncan, Gaetano Castrovilli and Nico Gonzalez are out. Antonin Barak was announced on Friday and could make his debut (favourite over Jack Bonaventura and Youssef Maleh). Pietro Terracciano should start over Pierluigi Gollini in goal, Dodo or Lorenzo Venuti on the right.

Fiorentina beat Napoli away in their last meeting last season and could win two games in a row against the Partenopei for the first time since November 1994-January 1997 (five). The Tuscans could remain unbeaten in the first three games of the season for the first time since 2013-14

Fiorentina have kept seven clean sheets at home out of 11 games in 2022, the best in Serie A with Milan.

Napoli are without Adam Ounas and Diego Demme. Fabian Ruiz hasn’t joined the team in Florence. He is out of the squad permanently after refusing to sign a contract extension with the club. The only doubt for Spalletti is between Hirving Lozano and Matteo Politano at right winger.

Napoli could win the first three games of the season for three years in a row for the first time in history. They have already set their record for the most goals scored in the first 2 Sere A games (9).

Their new signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is the best scorer in Serie A so far and could become the second player to score in his first-ever three games with Napoli after José Maria Callejon in 2013-14.

Giovanni Simeone, a former Fiorentina striker, scored 20 goals in 74 games with La Viola. He has netted three goals against the Tuscans in his career but is expected to start on the bench tonight.
