Daniel Maldini is likely to start for Milan against Spezia, with Olivier Giroud returning to the Rossoneri’s starting XI.

Brahim Diaz is expected to rest ahead of Milan’s Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid next week.

Therefore, with Junior Messias still on the treatment table, Daniel Maldini will start for the Rossoneri as the trequartista behind Giroud.

The French striker returns to action after missing the last two games with back pain.

Stefano Pioli must cope without six players, including Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Simon Kjaer.

Davide Calabria has recovered from an injury but will start on the bench.

Spezia suffered a narrow 3-2 win against Juventus earlier this week and Thiago Motta is likely to pick M’bala Nzola and Emmanuel Gyasi to start up front.

Spezia vs. Milan probable line-ups

  1. Curious. Let’s see Daniel in action. People are talking a lot of crap behind him and his father’s back but obviously he has the potential and Pioli sees that, too.

I hope he grabs this chance today with both hands. I will be cheering for him with all my heart.
