Milan return to the Mapei Stadium after their title win in May and Simon Kjaer could start his first match in almost nine months.

It kicks off at 17.30 UK time. Stefano Pioli is expected to rotate his squad ahead of Saturday’s derby della Madonnina.

Therefore, Pierre Kalulu, Davide Calabria, Sandro Tonali and Charles De Ketelaere could rest today. Kjaer is tipped to start his first game in nine months, starting along with Fikayo Tomori.

Tommaso Pobega should replace Tonali in the middle of the park, while Brahim Diaz will get the nod in the Trequartista role.

On the other hand, Sassuolo are without Traore, Muldur and Romagna. Sassuolo picked up a draw away at Spezia on Saturday and they haven’t drawn two games in a row since December. They haven’t kept two consecutive clean sheets at home since April 2019.
