José Mourinho meets Inter for the first time in his career, but must cope without several regular starters, including Tammy Abraham and Rick Karsdorp.

Both players received their fifth yellow card against Bologna earlier this week, so they’ll be suspended when the Giallorossi host Inter at the Stadio Olimpico today.

It kicks off at 17.00 UK time.

Lorenzo Pellegrini and Stephan El Shaarawy are injured, so Carles Perez is expected to start at right winger with Nicolò Zaniolo behind Eldor Shomurodov.

Felix Afena-Gyan is out of action with COVID and Leonardo Spinazzola will return to training in a couple of weeks.

Mourinho didn’t talk to the media before the match, while Simone Inzaghi ‘it will be a pleasure’ to face the coach that won the Treble with the Nerazzurri in 2010.

The ex-Lazio tactician will start Edin Dzeko, a former Roma star, up front.

Inzaghi has little options at the back with Matteo Darmian, Andrea Ranocchia, Stefan de Vrij and Aleksandar Kolarov injured, but Alessandro Bastoni returns to the line-up.

Danilo D’Ambrosio favourite over Federico Dimarco to start in a three-man defence.

Probable line-ups

Roma (4-2-3-1): Rui Patricio; Ibanez, Mancini, Smalling, Vina; Veretout, Cristante; Carles Perez, Zaniolo, Mkhitaryan; Shomurodov.

Inter (3-5-2): Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, Skriniar, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Perisic; Dzeko, Lautaro.
