Jose Mourinho is looking to maintain Roma’s momentum as they host newly promoted Cremonese in the second game of the season.

The match between the Giallorossi and the Grigiorossi kicks off at 17:30 UK time at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Roma’s strong summer transfer window has been dampened a little by the recent news that Georginio Wijnaldum has broken his leg, leaving him sidelined for a number of months only a few weeks after his arrival.

Cremonese also come into this match with a bitter taste in their mouth, although for significantly less serious reasons; the Lombard side suffered a painful 3-2 loss to Fiorentina in their season opener, falling to a 95th minute goal by Rolando Mandragora.

Mourinho cannot count on either Wijnaldum or Ebrima Darboe for this evening’s clash with Cremonese, who themselves are without Gonzalo Escalante through suspension. Emanuele Valeri and Michele Castagnetti are also in doubt for the Grigiorossi.

Probable line-ups for Roma vs Cremonese:

Roma ( 3-4-2-1): Rui Patricio; Mancini, Smalling, Ibanez; Karsdorp, Cristante, Pellegrini, Spinazzola; Dybala, Zaniolo; Abraham.

Cremonese (3-4-1-2): Radu; Bianchetti, Chiriches, Vasquez; Ghiglione, Pickel, Ascacibar, Valeri; Zanimacchia; Okereke, Dessers.
