Jose Mourinho’s Roma are hoping to stop the freight train coming down from Bergamo as Gian Piero Gasperini’s travel down to the Italian capital hoping to stay top of the table.

The match between the Giallorossi and la Dea kicks off at 17.00 UK time at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Despite their injury concerns, Roma have had a fairly positive start to the season, shaking off their poor results against Udinese and Ludogorets with wins over Empoli and HJK. The team only sit one point behind the three teams at the top and a win today would help maintain momentum.

Atalanta are benefiting from the lack of European competition in the early stages of this season, resting heavily between matches as they dream of a possible Scudetto bid. Gasperini’s side haven’t lost yet this campaign, although they’re keen to put their 1-1 draw with Cremonese last week behind them.

Mourinho will be unable to count on Marash Kumbulla, Rick Karsdorp, Ebrima Darboe, Stephan El Shaarawy and Georginio Wijnaldum, all of whom are unavailable due to injury. Nicola Zalewski is also in doubt.

Things are no simpler in Bergamo – Berat Djimsiti, Nadir Zortea, Davide Zappacosta and Duvan Zapata are all sidelined due to physical issues, and Jose Palomino is suspended after a positive doping test.

Probable line-ups for Roma vs Atalanta:

Roma (3-4-2-1): Rui Patricio; Mancini, Smalling, Ibanez; Celik, Cristante, Matic, Spinazzola; Dybala, Pellegrini; Abraham.

Atalanta (4-2-3-1): Musso; Hateboer, Toloi, Demiral, Soppy; De Roon, Koopmeiners; Lookman, Ederson, Malinovskyi; Muriel.
