Paulo Dybala returns to Turin this evening as Jose Mourinho’s Roma look to maintain their early momentum against Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus.
The match between the Bianconeri and the Giallorossi kicks off at 17.30 UK time at the Allianz Stadium.
Mourinho’s side have started the 2022-23 campaign well with two solid wins over Salernitana and Cremonese, but they’ll be hoping for a more convincing display tonight against one of their rivals in the race for a top four finish.
Juventus season has started a little more frustratingly; a 3-0 win over Sassuolo in the season opener looked good, but an incredibly dull 0-0 draw against Sampdoria left the fans annoyed and dejected. A strong win against Roma today gives Allegri a little more breathing room as he looks to bring the Bianconeri back to the top again.
Allegri is without a number of players heading into the match, with Leonardo Bonucci, Paul Pogba, Federico Chiesa, Angel Di Maria and Kaio Jorge all sidelined with injuries.
Mourinho isn’t having the best of times regarding his injured players either; Nicolo Zaniolo is out after a shoulder injury, new signing Georginio Wijnaldum won’t be available until after the World Cup due to a leg break and Ebrima Darboe is sidelined with a cruciate ligament rupture.
Probable line-ups for Juventus vs Roma:
Juventus (4-3-3): Perin; Danilo, Bremer, Rugani, Alex Sandro; McKennie, Locatelli, Rabiot; Cuadrado, Vlahovic, Kostic.
Roma (3-4-2-1): Rui Patricio; Mancini, Smalling, Ibanez; Karsdorp, Cristante, Matic, Spinazzola; Dybala, Pellegrini; Abraham.
Playing Rabiot and Mckennie will guarantee absolutely no creativity from the midfield. It’s all up to Kostic and Cuadrado then.
I expect a 0-0 similar to the Sampdoria match.
Why nobody criticize Loca?He is the most disappointing player
Loca must be Allegri’s love child, He is so bad that he makes the others look good.
Forget about the lineup. Will it be a hexagon, pentagon, octagon, nonagon or a new delight that PhD Max will recycle.
