Probable line-ups: Italy vs Hungary

Roberto Mancini seems set to start breakout starlet Wilfried Gnonto in Italy’s Nations League clash against Hungary tonight.

The match between the Azzurri and Hungary kicks off at 19.45 UK time at Orogel Stadium in Cesena.

Italy have looked confusing since the start of this international break, kicking things off with a 3-0 loss to Argentina in their Finalissima clash last week. Heading into the match against Germany, many fans were pessimistic, so it was a surprise to see a fairly solid Azzurri side secure a 1-1 draw in Bologna.

The Azzurri are now looking to kickstart their new project and the inclusion of players like Gnonto, Giacomo Raspadori and Alessandro Bastoni in the starting lineup shows the younger focus of the squad now, leaving veterans like Jorginho and Leonardo Bonucci out.

Probable line-ups for Italy vs Hungary:

  1. Politano hyped and not young

    Pellegrini Raspadori Gnonto ahead

    Add chiesa Zaniolo

    He’s way back

  2. Agree with Nigerian politano is critical on winger that can shoot with both feet and is a very good outside shooter with his cutting in similar to robben.

  3. Di lorenzo playing is tactical. He is comfortable in back 3 so allows us to transition to a back 3 when attacking, giving license for spinazzola to fly forward up the wing.
