Olivier Giroud is set to lead Milan’s attack in this evening’s Derby della Madonnina against Inter, with Lautaro Martinez ready to fight for the Nerazzurri.

The match between the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri will kick off at 17.00 UK time at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium in Milan.

Simone Inzaghi will be unable to rely on Joaquin Correa or new signing Robin Gosens in this evening’s match, with both players sidelined with injuries. He’s expected to deploy Lautaro up front alongside Edin Dzeko, although there’s a chance that Alexis Sanchez could take the Argentinian’s place in the starting eleven.

Stefano Pioli is dealing with a few more injuries; Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ante Rebic, Fodé Ballo-Touré and Simon Kjaer are all unavailable today, and Fikayo Tomori is in doubt due to a knee issue.

  1. It’s a derby so who knows but let’s face it inter have a better team position for position I don’t think we have anyone that would take a starting spot in a combined 11

  2. I dont think we gonna be able to score with giroud. Maybe one goal. Than if our deffence plays well we could win, but its gonna be hard not to concede with romagnoli and kalulu.
But i hope I’m wrong and we score 3 goals.

    Inter 1 – 3 Milan

  3. If Kalulu plays at CB I think it will be an Inter walkover. I appreciate his versatility but you don’t want a makeshift player in what could be a decisive game in the season. I would take Fikayo for 60 minutes if possible but I know the injury situation isn’t great.

  4. If we play like against Venzia, Milan will destroy us. Otherwise, if we play like most of the season I believe Lautaro and Alexis after international goals, will score today too. Inter – Milan 2-1 (Lautaro, Sanchez, Hernandez).

  5. More at stake for Milan than Inter here, and this is exactly where we need to show our real skin: are we a contender or the also-rans?

We came up good last season when we were under pressure, winning 3-0 at Juve, and again 2-0 vs Atalanta. Inter is a different beast though, they now know how to win, arguably is also a much better team. Of course I am biased here, but Milan need to win, and will hopefully deliver.

  6. My guess 2-0 or 2-1 win for Inter. Milan have over achieved until this point and in the next few weeks I expect they will drop to 4th or 5th place.
