Edin Dzeko is expected to replace Romelu Lukaku in Inter‘s attack against Cremonese, while Ionut Radu returns to San Siro.

It kicks off at 19.45 UK time, and it’s the first Lombard derby (against Inter or Milan) for the visitors since 1996.

Lukaku has suffered a thigh injury and could remain out of action until October, so Dzeko should replace him tonight.

Samir Handanovic is still favourite to start over André Onana. Denzel Dumfries should get the nod on the right, while Kristjan Asllani could start his first game for Inter, replacing Marcelo Brozovic who could rest ahead of Saturday’s derby di Milano.

Inter won 11 games out of 14 against Cremonese and kept a clean sheet in seven meetings.

Lautaro Martinez could contribute to at least one goal in each one of the opening four Serie A games for the first time in his career. He has contributed to 16 goals in the last 13 games against newly-promoted teams.

Vlad Chiriches still out of action for Cremonese and Luca Zanimacchia could be deployed on the left in a 3-5-2 system, more defensive than Cremonese’s usual 3-4-1-2 formation.

Cremonese beat Inter away in 1992. To date, it’s their only win at San Siro, considering matches against the Nerazzurri and Milan. Radu is on loan from Inter and returns to the Stadio Meazza for the first time as an opponent since last season’s howler in Bologna which partially cost Inter the title.

Inter-Cremonese probable line-ups

Inter (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Asslani, Calhanoglu, Gosens: Dzeko, Lautaro.

Cremonese (3-5-2): Radu; Sernicola, Bianchetti, Lochoshvili; Zanimacchia, Pickel, Ascacibar, Escalante, Valeri; Okereke, Dessers.
