Serie A Week 23 begins today with Hellas Verona hosting Sinisa Mihajlovic’s Bologna at the Stadio Bentegodi.

It kicks off at 19.45 UK time.

Pawel Dewidowicz and Gianluca Frabotta are still injured.

Federico Ceccherini and Adrien Tameze are not 100%, but the former Fiorentina defender remains the favourite for a spot at centre-back. Ivan Ilic returns after a one-match ban.

Prolific Verona had never scored 41 goals in the opening 22 Serie A games before. Diego Simeone, Gianluca Caprari and Antonin Barak have already scored at least seven goals each this season.

A long list of absentees for Bologna with Jerdy Schouten, Lorenzo De Silvestri, Kingsley and Federico Santander out of action while Musa Barrow and Ibrahima Mbaye at on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Adana Soumaoro is suspended, so Kevin Bonifazi will replace him.

Marko Arnautovic is not fully fit but is expected to start. The former Inter striker has scored six goals in 19 Serie A games this season, but the last time he found the net was on November 28 against Spezia.

Bologna lost five of their last six games in Serie A after winning four of the previous five. Only Genoa collected fewer points since December 4.

Probable line-ups

Verona (3-4-2-1): Montipò; Gunter, Ceccherini, Casale; Faraoni, Ilic, Veloso, Lazovic; Barak, Caprari; Simeone

Bologna (3-5-2): Skorupski; Bonifazi, Medel, Theate; Skov Olsen, Svanberg, Dominguez, Soriano, Hickey; Orsolini, Arnautovic.
