Andriy Shevchenko was sacked last week, so interim coach Abdoulay Konko takes charge of Genoa against Dusan Vlahovic’s Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

It kicks off at 19.45 UK time.

Konko, a former Lazio and Genoa defender has been temporarily promoted from the U17 team to replace Shevchenko who was dismissed last week after failing to win any of his nine matches in charge of Genoa.

Both Fiorentina and Genoa played were forced to extra time on Thursday, but the Tuscans won against Napoli, while Il Grifone lost to Milan.

Fiorentina’s Martinez Quarta is not 100% fit and is unlikely to start, but everyone else is available.

New signing Krzysztof Piatek is expected to start on the bench against his ex club with Dusan Vlahovic in the starting XI.

Piatek was introduced from the bench and scored against Napoli on Thursday. He had netted 13 goals in 19 appearances with Genoa in 2019.

Fiorentina are unbeaten in 23 home games against Genoa and won five of the last six matches at the Stadio Artemio Franchi this season.
