Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is expected to rotate his squad against newly promoted Empoli, as Alexis Sanchez seems set to start up front and Nicolò Barella should get a breather.

The match kicks off at 19.45 UK time.

Andrea Pinamonti looks forward to a ‘special game’ against his parent club tonight, when he’s expected to continue up front with Patrick Cutrone for the home side.

Inzaghi, on the other hand, could be forced to give some of his key men a break and Sanchez seems set for a place in the starting line-up.

He could either play with Edin Dzeko or Lautaro Martinez, with the latter currently winning the race ahead of the Bosnian.

Barella could also be given time to rest, with Matias Vecino and Arturo Vidal thus fighting for a place in the middle.

Matteo Darmian and Federico Dimarco are ready out wide, with Andrea Ranocchia possibly replacing Stefan de Vrij in defence.

Probable line-ups: Empoli vs. Inter

Empoli (4-3-1-2): Vicario; Stojanovic, Ismajli, Tonelli, Marchizza; Haas, Ricci, Bandinelli; Bajrami; Cutrone, Pinamonti

Inter (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, Ranocchia, Bastoni; Darmian, Calhanoglu, Brozovic, Vecino, Dimarco; Sanchez, Lautaro
