Cagliari look to Joao Pedro and Leonardo Pavoletti, while Sinisa Mihajlovic must cope without many players positive for COVID.

It kicks off at 19.45 UK time.

Nahitan Nandez is the only Cagliari player who is currently positive, but Luca Ceppitelli, Sebastian Walukiewicz, Damir Ceter, Marko Rog and Kevin Strootman are injured. Keita Baldé is on Africa Cup of Nations duty.

Cagliari won the last three home games against Bologna, but the Sardinians haven’t kept a clean sheet at their stadium for 11 games.

Joao Pedro contributed to five of Cagliari’s last seven games at home (four goals and one assist).

Bologna returned to training yesterday after being ordered to quarantine for five days. They formally complained because they feel there was no rush to reschedule the game so quickly given that neither club are involved in European competitions.

Although Nicolas Viola, Nicolas Dominguez and Sydney Van Hooijdonk have recovered from COVID, Aaron Hickey, Gary Medel, Emanuel Vignato and Federico Santander are still positive and the same goes for three Primavera players who should have travelled to Sardinia with the first team.

Musa Barrow and Ibrahima Mbaye are on international duty.

Probable line-ups

Bologna (3-4-2-1): Skorupski; Bonifazi, Binks, Theate; De Silvestri, Svanberg, Soriano, Dijks; Skov Olsen, Orsolini; Arnautovic.
