Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Patrick Cutrone is expected to start for Italy Under-21s against their Armenian counterparts this evening.

Cutrone was benched with fellow Premier League hitman Moise Kean for Italy’s goalless draw with Republic of Ireland last week.

However, Kean’s suspension and Gianluca Scamacca’s lack of impact in Dublin should see the former Milan attacker get a chance alongside Andrea Pinamonti and Riccardo Sottil.

On the other hand, Sandro Tonali will not be taking part after he was added to the senior squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers with Greece and Liechtenstein.

Crotone’s Nicolo Zanellato seems set to replace the Brescia man in midfield.

The Azzurrini have yet to concede a goal in three games under Paolo Nicolato, whereas Armenia have lost two of their first three European Under-21 Championship qualifiers.

Armenia U21 (probable): Aslanyan; Arman Mkrtchyan, Khachumyan, Daniielian, Grigoryan; Rudik Mkrtchyan, Harutyunyan; Melkonyan, Bichakhchyan, Nahapetyan; Hovhannisyan

Italy U21 (probable): Carnesecchi; Adjapong, Bastoni, Gabbia, Lu Pellegrini; Frattesi, Carraro, Zanellato; Cutrone, Pinamonti, Sottil
