Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano will keep fans and Viktoria Plzen guessing in the Conference League quarter-final 1st leg.

It kicks off at the Doosan Arena on Thursday at 17.45 UK time (16.45 GMT).

The Viola have a full squad to choose from and it remains to be seen if Lucas Martinez-Quarta will return after a knock, otherwise Nikola Milenkovic and Luca Ranieri will again be in central defence.

There is a battle at right-back between Dodo and Michael Kayode, while Jack Bonaventura and Alfred Duncan are favourites for midfield rather than Arthur Melo and Rolando Mandragora.

Nico Gonzalez and Lucas Beltran seem guaranteed to start, but Riccardo Sottil is the favourite ahead of Christian Kouame or Jonathan Ikone, with Andrea Belotti given another chance as the centre-forward.

The Czech side have several long-term injury absentees, namely star striker Rafiu Durosinmi, Matej Valenta, Erik Jirka and now also Jan Sykora, who underwent knee surgery this week following a ligament tear.

The only player who might return to the squad is Jhon Mosquera, who has been out since a knock to the head on March 30 during the 3-1 home defeat to Slovan Liberec.

Veteran Ibrahim Traore should step in with Pavel Sulc to help support very tall centre-forward Tomas Chory, which would mean ex-Udinese and Watford striker Matej Vydra on the bench.

Probable line-ups

Viktoria Plzen (3-4-2-1): Jedlicka; Paluska, Hranac, Hejda; Jemelka, Cadu, Kalvach, Cerv; Sulc, Traore; Chory

Fiorentina (4-2-3-1): Terracciano; Dodò, Milenkovic, Ranieri, Biraghi; Arthur, Duncan; Nico Gonzalez, Beltran, Sottil; Belotti
