Lazio will remember the Europa Conference League exploits of their intercity rivals Roma as they restart in Europe against CFR Cluj.

The match between the Biancocelesti and the Romanian outfit kicks off at 20:00 UK time at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Lazio have continued to struggle with inconsistency in 2023, with wins over Sassuolo and Milan contrasted to losses to Lecce and Atalanta. Their Europa League campaign in the first half of the season was equally chaotic and saw them finish third in their group, behind Feyenoord and FC Midtjylland.

Maurizio Sarri’s side are without Stefano Radu and Alessio Romagnoli, both out injured. Luka Romero is also unavailable after picking up a red card in their final Europa League group clash with Feyenoord.

Cluj are in decent form heading into their European clash with Lazio, even if they’ve picked up a few tough defeats in recent weeks. The Romanian side finished second in their Conference League group, behind Sivasspor but ahead of Slavia Prahia and Ballkani.

Coach Dan Petrescu has a fully fit squad available to him, giving him a variety of options across the pitch.

Probable line-ups for Lazio vs CFR Cluj:

Lazio (4-3-3): Provedel; Lazzari, Casale, Patric, Hysaj; Vecino, Marcos Antonio, Basic; Felipe Anderson, Immobile, Zaccagni.

Cluj (4-3-3): Scuffet; Manea, Matias, Burca, Camora; Boateng, Muhar, Cvek; Petrila, Yeboah, Deac.
