Victor Osimhen is expected to start for Napoli against Braga despite missing a training session on Monday.

It kicks off at 20:00 at the Stadio Maradona.

Even a defeat will allow the Partenopei to qualify for the Champions League Round of 16, as long as it comes with a one-goal margin.

Osimhen didn’t take part in a training session on Monday as he flew to Morocco to receive the African Footballer of the Year award, but is still expected to start in attack alongside Matteo Polotano and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Osimhen has scored six goals in 11 Serie A games this term but hasn’t yet found the net in the Champions League in 2023-24.

Walter Mazzarri will likely confirm the same line-up of Friday’s 1-0 loss against Juventus in Turin, with Juan Jesus and Natan in defence and Piotr Zielinski in central midfield.

The Partenopei have had a poor home record this season, collecting one point in two Champions League matches and losing four of the opening seven Serie A games at the Stadio Maradona.

Napoli-Braga, probable line-ups

Braga (4-2-3-1): Matheus; Gomez, Fonte, Niakaté, Borja, Moutinho, Carvalho, Djalo, Zalazar, Horta, Banza.
