Probable Champions League line-ups: Liverpool vs. Inter

Arturo Vidal is expected to replace the suspended Nicolò Barella at Anfield Road tonight, while Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez are likely to start up front.

The Nerazzurri will be looking to bounce back in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 against Liverpool tonight. They lost the first leg 2-0 at the Stadio Meazza three weeks ago.

Inter returned to winning ways on Friday by beating Salernitana 5-0. They hadn’t won in the previous four Serie A matches.

Lautaro Martinez scored a hat-trick against Salernitana and will be looking to end his European goal drought tonight as he hasn’t scored a Champions League goal in the last 10 games. Arturo Vidal will replace the suspended Barella. Coach Simone Inzaghi demanded an aggressive approach saying that it would be ‘essential’ to score a goal in the first half.

Inter have the best attack in Serie A (60 goals in 27 games) and the second-best defence (22 goals conceded), they haven’t qualified for the quarter-finals for more than ten years (2010-11) and around 2,500 Nerazzurri fans will be at Anfield tonight.

Jurgen Klopp sees Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara and Roberto Firmino return to action, but only the defender is expected to start.
