Brandao has been given a one-month prison sentence for headbutting Italy international Thiago Motta after Bastia-PSG.
The incident occurred in the tunnel after the final whistle of their Ligue 1 game on August 16.
Brandao was caught on camera waiting for Thiago Motta to come down the stairs, then following the headbutt ran into his team’s locker room to escape any retaliation, leaving the midfielder with a broken nose.
The tribunal in Paris has given Brandao a one-month prison sentence and €20,000 fine for assault.
However, the player is likely to convert it into a larger fine and community service.
Brandao has already been handed a six-month ban from football.
