Genoa President Enrico Preziosi believes Giovanni Simeone “would do well” with Maurizio Sarri at Napoli.
The striker – son of Atletico Madrid Coach Diego – has scored 11 goals in all competitions for the Grifone this season, fuelling speculation he could leave in the summer.
“He’s an extraordinary player,” Preziosi said on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“He’s an extraordinary player,” Preziosi said on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“He’s like a more wilful [Filippo] Inzaghi and he’s more technical as well. On Sunday he scored two goals and provided an assist, only important players put up those numbers.
“Juventus or Napoli? I could see him doing well at both teams, he’d do well with Sarri because he plays well with the ball on the ground.”
Leonardo Pavoletti left Genoa to move to San Paolo but has so far played just 27 minutes in Serie A.
“Pavoletti is a great player, but he needs crosses, not for the team to try and bring the ball to the goal.
“He’s a classic Italian centre-forward, and there aren’t many of them left. He’s better than [Luca] Toni he has more movement.
“He loves being in or near the box, he needs to be fed but not with balls on the ground. He’s an extraordinary new player, but he needs to understand a new system.
“It should be varied a little, because he’s a different type of striker to the Azzurri’s others. We still have to wait a few months to judge him.”
