Genoa President Enrico Preziosi confirms a new contract for Coach Gian Piero Gasperini – ‘I never doubted we’d sign the contract renewal’.
The Grifone are yet to officially announce the extension, which is thought to be three years, but the club patron has confirmed the renewal.
“I was calm,” Preziosi told ANSA.
“I never doubted that we’d sign the contract renewal. It’s something positive, and we’ve got it done.”

Gasperini guided Genoa to sixth in Serie A this year, though the club was not granted a UEFA licence, so will not enter the Europa League next year.
