“We are proposing to replay the match on Monday. The rules would suggest tomorrow, but the public order officials say they cannot guarantee security then.”
It is also expected to continue raining heavily in the city for the rest of the night, so the turf may well not have dried up by Sunday afternoon anyway.
“There have been two dates put forward: March 3 and 11, but I think in the end it will be on Monday.
“Next week Sampdoria can move their game to Sunday rather than Saturday.”
Samp are scheduled to play Atalanta on Saturday February 28.
