Rossoblu goalkeeper Mattia Perin was replaced by Federico Marchetti after testing positive for COVID-19 ahead of the match against the Partenopei, and the club has since confirmed 14 cases of coronavirus in the matchday group.

Napoli are currently carrying out swab tests ahead of their trip to Juventus on Sunday.

Genoa’s next match against Torino will most likely get postponed and President Preziosi has stressed the Grifoni followed the protocol in place.

“We respected all the procedures imposed by the protocol before the trip to Naples,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“We await the results of the swabs we have carried out, which will be communicated to us tomorrow.”
