Premier Sports have announced they have exclusive coverage of the 2021-22 Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana in the UK, starting this weekend.

Fans of Calcio in the UK will still be able to get their fix from the major cup competitions.

The preliminary round has already been completed, but the Serie A clubs enter into action from the First Round beginning this weekend.

Premier Sports will air three fixtures from that stage, including Gigi Buffon’s Parma against Lecce on Sunday at 17.00 UK time and Torino taking on Cremonese at 20.00 UK time.

On Monday, Sampdoria will host Alessandria at 20.00 UK time, a club just promoted to Serie B and who have a very good record in the Coppa Italia.

As part of the agreement, Premier Sports will also have exclusive coverage in the UK for the Supercoppa Italiana, which is the Italian version of the Charity Shield.

This year, it will see Scudetto-winners Inter go head-to-head with Coppa Italia victors Juventus.

One thought on “Premier Sports gets exclusive UK Coppa Italia and Supercoppa rights”
  1. Year on years, the care for fans just dissipates more and more. So now I have to pay for a season ticket but because I work abroad, I have to also buy a 25 a month pass to watch serie a with bt sports, and also get another package with premier sports to watch the coppa Italia? On top of that, expected to also pay for tickets separately for European games. I’m so happy the club is back in the champions league, but really, this is abhorrent. Why just not give both the league and cup tv rights to one provider, so we aren’t constantly shafted?
