Udinese have confirmed Matej Vydra will in all probability be playing his football in the Premiership this season.

The striker is wanted by a number of English clubs following his success on loan in the Championship with Watford last term.

“We know what the player wants, it is no surprise for us,” Udinese sporting director Cristiano Giaretta told the Messaggero Veneto.

“Vydra has expressed his desire to play in the Premier League and we agree with him.

“It is important that players have objectives and he is convinced he can do well there, but the most important thing is that we are well covered in attack.

“We have Antonio Di Natale, Luis Muriel, Maicosuel, Piotr Zielinski and Nico Lopez. We’d have too many if Vydra was to stay too.”

Vydra is a 21-year-old Czech forward who scored 20 goals for Watford last season. He was signed by Udinese in 2010 from Banik Ostrava.

West Brom are understood to be very interested in the forward.
