In view of tomorrow’s Coppa Italia Final, where the Orobici will face the Old Lady, there’s fear that the centre of Bergamo could be filled with people, should Atalanta win the competition.
The city has today decided to strengthen the presence of the police in the centre of Bergamo and at the highway toll booths of the province.
Those who travel to Reggio-Emilia, where the match will be played at the Mapei Stadium, will be able to return home in derogation of the curfew, but only for travel between the stadium and their homes, without unjustified ‘detours’.
“I appeal to the sense of responsibility of the people of Bergamo, which they have shown up to now to have, to protect their health and that of others,” Enrico Ricci said after the meeting of the Committee for public order and safety.
