Italian national boss Cesare Prandelli is monitoring the form of Atalanta midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura.

The 23-year-old has had a strong start to the season and he is one of a number of Bergamo players who are on the tactician’s radar.

“I always have an eye on Atalanta,” Prandelli told the Eco di Bergamo after he was questioned about the youngster.

“Like other players we are keeping under observation, we have to understand his potential to grow even further.”

Bonaventura, who has enjoyed loan spells at Pergocrema and Padova in his career, has scored four goals in 13 League games this term.

The player has represented Italy at Under-19 and U-20 level.
