The Viola are without a win since February 19 and aim to bounce back against direct rivals Benevento tomorrow.

Fiorentina and the Streghe are locked on 26 points in as many games ahead of the tie at the Stadio Vigorito.

“The sense of responsibility is a topic we are facing,” Prandelli said at a press conference. “The players are aware of the difficulties of tomorrow’s match.

“They have the same points as us, but we worked very well, and we want to play a great game.

“We are on track and the players are responsible for what they have to do. There is no fear, pressure is part of our job and we must transform it into something positive.”

Prandelli said Franck Ribery is ‘a leader’ and expects him to ‘take control of the game’.

“Ribery is an added value,” he continued. “He has personality and experience.

“He’s a leader and when there are important games, these players usually take control of the game.”

Prandelli said he’s not worried about getting sacked and only concentrates on the game tomorrow.

“My head is only on tomorrow’s match because too many thoughts cause anxiety,” he said. “I’m focused only on the match.

“Then, at the end of the game, we’ll see, but this is not the time to think about it."
