The Grifone broke away from the relegation zone thanks to a last-gasp 2-1 win over Lazio last week, sealed by Domenico Criscito’s volley.

“Chievo don’t deserve to be bottom of the table and have always tried to take the game to their opponents, so we cannot take this lightly,” warned Prandelli in his Press conference.

“The next fixture is always the most important game of the year. In recent years, Genoa have lost to the team propping up the table and we cannot go into this with the wrong level of determination or focus.

“We can certainly improve in our passing and the timing of our counter-attacks. We’ve worked with Ivan Radovanovic to move him further up the pitch, as he’s been too deep so far.

“It’ll be emotional for Radovanovic being back here against his old club, but he is a professional and knows at this moment he must focus on his new team.”

Andrea Favilli, Luca Mazzitelli, Stefano Sturaro, Oscar Hiljemark and Gianluca Lapadula are still out of action.

Genoa squad for Chievo: Marchetti, Gunter, Criscito, Lerager, Sanabria, Kouame, Pezzella, Biraschi, Romero, Rolon, Pandev, Radovanovic, Lazovic, Bessa, Dalmonte, Pereira, Lakicevic, Veloso, Zukanovic, Jandrei, Radu
