Former Italy CT Cesare Prandelli criticises the ‘bad habit’ of clubs neglecting young Italians in favour of buying from abroad.

The ex-Fiorentina boss criticised the path being taken by many Serie A sides, but reserved special praise for Sassuolo and Torino’s attitude to nurturing home-grown talent.

“It’d be better if we did something for the future,” Prandelli said to Tuttosport.

“After the World Cup, they said to give more space to our youngsters but instead there are always more foreigners.
