Cesare Prandelli is confident his “gamble” will pay off, as Italy have “huge margins for improvement.”

The Azzurri remain unbeaten and conceded only the second goal of their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign in last night's 1-1 draw with Serbia.
“We went on to the field with the right attitude and so are certainly satisfied. We were all very worried in this difficult arena, but did well to play good football in a particularly tough venue,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
“We certainly did well in defence, as we only really risked with two free kicks and counter-attacks from our set plays. We pressured their midfielders and did what we planned to.
“Of course we still have to improve, as I think this team has huge margins for improvement, so with each game we must earn more experience and awareness of our abilities.”
Prandelli was asked about his 4-3-1-2 system that has ‘good feet' more than enforcers, including strikers Antonio Cassano and Giuseppe Rossi.
“Obviously we worked on quality and that might've been a gamble at the start, but I am convinced we can continue with this concept. You have to be on the field with the right attitude.
“We're playing these games with strikers who aren't very tall, but with the whole team's support you can play a certain type of football.
“I think there is a good level of quality in Serie A and I am working with that.”
