Cesare Prandelli says Leonardo Bonucci has ‘neither the means or the knowledge’ to criticise his Italy preparations.

The defender criticised the Azzurri training under Prandelli this week, stating that he and his teammates had spent too much time in front of the computer.

“He’s proving himself to be one of the best,” Prandelli said of Bonucci, speaking to Sky.

“He’s getting more and more secure, but he doesn’t have the means or the knowledge to judge the preparation.

“I went to see Luis Enrique at Roma, and there were lots of computers there too…”

The former CT also descibed his Italy experience as ‘an open wound’ while defending his record.

“It’s an open wound. You should look at games the next day, when you’re not emotionally involved.

“Over four years I gave so much, if you look back at what we did it’s very good.”
