Torino are pushing hard to reunite with Dennis Praet in January, especially as the Belgium international blames Leicester City for making him miss the World Cup, with a half-price deal.

It would be a return to the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino for the 28-year-old, who was already on loan with the Granata in the 2021-22 season.

He was eager to remain, but Toro could not agree a transfer deal with the Premier League side, who had wanted €15m.

According to Tuttosport, that refusal infuriated the player, as did the fact he has barely set foot on the pitch this season with just nine appearances for Leicester between the Premier League and EFL Cup.

Praet is reported to blame the Foxes for his absence from the Belgium squad at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

A return to Torino in January could therefore be achieved at a cut-price deal of just €6-7m.

That is less than half the €15m that Leicester City were originally asking for Praet over the summer.
