Director of sport Daniele Prade spoke to Sky Sport Italia ahead of the drawing of the Serie A 2015-16 calendar.
He was asked about the many transfer rumours currently circulating around the Viola, including Gomez talks with Besiktas.
“We are working with the Coach to find a replacement, but Gomez to Besiktas is not done yet. Between tonight and tomorrow morning we will meet representatives from the Turkish club in Florence.”
Milinkovic-Savic had arrived to sign the contract when his move from Genk suddenly collapsed, opening the door to Lazio.
“I was already clear on that, we do not need to chase anyone. We like people who are decisive. Now we must turn the page.
“Chiriches? He is not a player we are tracking. The market is long, we know Paulo Sousa’s ideas and are confident we can build a good team.
“We know that we need a defender and a midfielder.”
Fiorentina are also holding up Roma’s bid for Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah.
“Our position is in the hands of the lawyers.”
